On my way to Denmark in the winter of 2006 for a workshop I got hold of a Fuji Finepix S9500 at the airport in a sale. I was mainly shooting film at the time and this was just a random purchase because I was bored. The camera was not very good and suffered from rather bad purple fringing. According to reviews at the time this was Fuji’s attempt at designing a compact DSLR-like camera, but with a fixed zoom lens. I did not keep it very long. It had a very slow RAW processing engine which I did not use for the shots below which are from JPEGs.
However, looking back at some of the images recently and converting them to monochrome in Capture One 12, they are not all that bad for a bridge camera.
These shots were taken near a place called Skørping in Jutland.
I fortunately also took my Fuji GA645 film rangefinder which was a much better camera and made some lith prints from the negatives. Here are a couple of examples:
These were printed on Fomatone MG classic with Fotospeed LD20 (25a+25b+950, +500 old brown) at 25 Celcius. It appears that this developer has unfortunately recently been discontinued.
